Our Vision.

Responding In Kindness is a nonprofit corporation created to fulfill an evident need in our society. The purpose of our organization is to aid the elderly, distressed and underprivileged with home repairs in an effort to avoid demolition and relocation, so they can maintain their current affordable housing. Due to needed repairs such as roofing, plumbing, electrical and foundation these homes become in violation of city codes . We can bring these homes back up to code with your help.

Cheryl and Duane are the driving force behind Responding in Kindness with a desire to fill the basic needs of the elderly, and underprivileged.Responding In Kindness is open to the public and has no fee associated for its services. This program will be advertised through word of mouth, email, and personal contacts and funded through volunteer services and tax deductible donations.

All donations are allocated towards supplies and contractor fees. Any amount is appreciated and will help make a difference.

Currently we are working with Jackie, a 72 year old resident of Ferris, TX. Her house was going to be demolished due to city code violations. We worked with the city to come up with a plan to repair all the violations. With your support we can get the job completed. We are asking for your help with this project and our future endeavors. We thank you for your generous donation in whatever form you are capable of giving, be it your volunteering time and energy, talents, supplies or funds.

Our Vision.

Responding in Kindness is actively trying to help those who are less fortunate to be able to keep their homes that they love. Many of the homes that are set for demolition due to code violations are occupied by the low income and elderly. Our vision is to prevent these individuals from being forced from their homes into the streets. Responding in Kindness believes that there is a way to help these unfortunate families. Through donations from people just like you, we can make a difference!

According to the local news Jackie'’s house was set to be demolished. With determination we set out to help Jackie with the badly needed repairs on her home. The necessary repairs were far too substantial for Jackie to afford. Roofing, electrical, plumbing, drainage windows, foundation etc are needed to bring her home up to code. Thanks to the volunteers, numerous endeavors of labor and donations progress is being made. Help is still greatly needed.

Responding In Kindness Donation Day

Responding In Kindness aids in gathering a multitude of companies, contractors and individual volunteers to provide the necessary supplies, manpower and funding to get the job done. We can aid in the necessary repairs to foundation, roofing, electrical and plumbing etc. in the Dallas, Ft Worth and surrounding areas. We are always looking for companies and individuals to join in our cause and help save a home. Working side by side with like minded people to achieve our goals…. We can make a difference!

Responding In Kindness believes the solution begins with spreading awareness of the issues facing people in older homes that are threatened with fines or even demolition by local governments and taking an active role in resolving these problems. By coming together as a group to donate our time, energy, talents, materials and ideas, we can make a difference in these peoples lives. Through the gathering of funds and resources we can and will make it happen. We don't have to wait for the world to change, we can change it ourselves.
